It's hard to believe that Eliza is seven months old. She is such a joy and has accomplished quite a bit in the past month. She's eating three square meals of baby food a day (likes all of them except squash--but who can blame her there!), sleeps 10-11 hours a night, smiles, giggles, rolls, and even says Da-Da. We're still working on Ma-Ma, although I think Cat is going to be said before Ma-Ma. She likes to blow bubbles and pretend like she's a motorboat (which makes for a messy dinner time).
Last week was our gospel meeting at church and Eliza learned quite quickly how to eat out in a restaurant and sit in the high chair. She did really, really well and now we're not intimidated to take her out to eat. Then last weekend, she made her first out-of-state trip to Burkesville, KY to meet Randall and Bea. She slept for the first three hours down there, then cried the last one. We think she got tired of sitting in her car seat. She did ok on the way home too, although was much better when I was sitting in the back seat with her so we could play. Everyone loved her and Randall and Bea wanted to keep her! She had her first sink bath while we were there and even endured three church services and a pitch-in on Sunday. We definitely have the best baby because she didn't throw a fit or anything! Of course, we just KNOW that our next one (whenever he/she comes along) will probably be a rebel! So we're enjoying every peaceful moment!
I'll post new photos soon, as soon as I get a chance. I'm back to my book editing and it's infringing on my picture and blog posting time. But be patient--we'll post soon!
